Tipping point risk management at the Atmosphere and Climate Competence Center (ACCC) 4th ACCC Impact Week (in English)
Operaatio Arktis joins the 4th ACCC Impact Week on Tuesday 22nd April to organize a session on tipping point risk management. We will delve into what this risk management could look like based on research and what policy frameworks and innovations could be considered to manage non-linear climate risks. Register for the event on ACCC website!
TIPPING POINT MANAGEMENT
Earth System Tipping Points (ESTPs) pose severe risks but are often overlooked in climate strategies due to uncertainty and poor integration into models. Effective risk management requires improved predictability, prevention-focused strategies, and preparation for adaptation where possible. This seminar discusses ESTP governance, risk mitigation, and the potential of Seabed Curtains to slow ice sheet loss.
